Discusses how places like India, China and Mexico struggle to have their own freedom like we do and people in India usually go starving. Many risk their lives for a better life like the US has and Americans take what they have for granted.
I think that America is a good place to live because of how many benefits we have however we do have our flaws. Even with that, we still have freedom that some other places don't have.

In this video it talks about how people are so worried about gun violence but are making so many different laws but are not making laws for gun violence and keep advertising them. The video is also making fun of how they are so many games and movies about shooting people but are not stopping those games when gun violence is such a big deal. Also the easy access to guns and a big reason is cellphones kids have.
I think the video is speaking facts because how are we going to keep advertising these movies and games with all this gun violence and shooting and think that these mass shooters are not being influenced to do these things by what they are seeing. I also think it is so big on social media and social media is killing our society today.

Most mass murders are infatuated with gun violence in movies and tv. It influences them to have an obsession towards guns and violence. The idea is presented over and over again, with the plot of heroes and villains using guns and playing a role of savior. All of these types of vengeance play a part part in what happens. They're all action movies and there is a nice guy who got pushed to far and it fed into their desire into using gun violence.
Most of the movies made today action or not play into todays society. How to deal with pain or anger the answer is always to use violence

"Taboo" and topics that are deemed to be influential in a bad way (smoking, ethnicity, sexuality, etc.) is something that is more rare and "eyebrow raising" to be seen on television. However gun violence is something more casual and something we're used to seeing. This violence can influence young men. Violence is justified.
I don't think it's only movies that influence young men towards gun violence, I believe it has to do with the environment they grew up in. I believe that the legal age to purchase a gun should be 25. I agree that violence is justified when watching these movies, as we usually watch the movie from the point of view as the person with the gun. But movies are not the only reason that the people with guns do what they do.

I agree with Mr. Maher that Hollywood is showing too many movies that include gun violence, that can influence young men to become more violent. I believe that they need to reduce the amount of gun violence because every movie made in Hollywood has some amount of violence, and it doesn't mean that they need to completely remove violence but rather reduce the idea from the movies that they make.

an issue with violence filled entertainment, for example before the age of 18 the average child sees at least 2000 acts of violence on screen. Most believe we shouldn't be able to platform bad things due to imitation. imitation can and will lead to large violent acts such as mass shooting. he claims to not be undermining gun laws, hes just showing what's real.
I agree with the host, the overlooked, repetitive amounts of violence on screen are greatly impacting our society that leads to large dangerous acts such as; school shootings and mass shootings. Although I don't believe we need censorship because most of these movies show real issues and past happenings but we need stronger gun laws and restrictions. hollywood is part of the problem.

the real problem is that we have people worried about guns being a problem but not actually trying to do anything about, they complain about shootings but they don't want to bans guns or make it more complicated to get one. College cost a lot of money sending student into debt with no guarantee of making it back. All these colleges take thousands from each student and don't have to pay taxes. So all the money they are making just sits in their bank account not even going towards the way they teach it has been the same way for years.
I agree with this news I see lots of family members go into debt from college and once they have their degree sometimes can never do anything with it. Once you get your degree there is no guarantee that you are going to get a high paying job and will be able to pay off all of your debt that it is just what everyone else tells you. For example there were some people who went to college and took out loans but now are only working a $10/hour job and are in extreme debt.

I have mixed feelings about college. I see that there are advantages and disadvantages of going to college. There are majors in college that can be helpful to building up a career. The report is eleaborates mostly on the debt it can cost a person and how it could effect a students life during and after graduation.
I think the video is a very informative in a sense that it allows the thinking from both sides, but its discussion on open career paths are still open to though who choose not to attend college.

This video was about how everyone encourages the idea to go to college but is that really the right choice. Just because you get a degree doesn't mean that you will be automatically successful after college. There were people in the video that were $80,000 in debt but after college could only find a job that paid $10/hour and now are drowning in debt trying to pay it off for the rest of their life. This video was really asking everyone who was watching was college really worth it?
I think college can be worth it depending on what major you choose if you pick a major that is very unlikely to find a job then that is just very dumb. But if you pick a major that have a lot of job opportunities and you have a degree for that job then you will most likely succeed.

in this informational video, we were informed of many different point of views on how college should be paid for and by who ? the tax payers ?
In my personal opinion, college should be paid for by the government. why is college so expensive in the first place ? we've already seen how much money these schools have and they could pay for hundreds of students tuition and not see a change.

I personally don't know if I would fully be able to invest in a teenager. Although I am being told I would get my money back, I would be very anxious throughout the process. It is very risky but at the same time there is a possibility for a good outcome.

There has been so many things that have improved in the modern world but the education system has not improved. Most lower class and middle class citizens have paid for college.
I believe that education is important but the education system is flawed. I wish education was more focused on helping prep students for the real world instead of focusing on money.

Everyone pays taxes weather you're rich or poors, it might affect some more than others but everyone pays them. Exept for colleges, colleges don't pay taxes, but not only that they also get tons of money from students paying tuition to attend it.
Colleges should not be free, but they should lower the price, also they should start paying taxes, it is a business after all, because it is unfair that they are the only ones who don't pay any taxes.

Both videos presented their arguments concerning whether or not college is worth the money. The first video claims that many college graduates report that college was a rip-off and remain in debt despite having a degree. The second video argued that college for many others had been a way to expand their horizons In the workforce.
I believe that it depends on the personal situation to determine whether or not college is a financially wise decision. For example, if somebody is planning to go into the medical field, then college may be a requirement for whatever job they are after. A degree, however, may not be the wisest thing to invest in if that specific degree most likely won't be of interest to employers.

In my opinion, it's best to go to a community college; as it gives you time and saves money before transferring out. It's not worth it to get a bachelors degree in something you dislike or something not useful.

this news story went into depth about the mostly negative aspects and effects of attending college. the story began with a women who was informed if she was to attend a four year college she would be able to achieve a well paying job straight out of college and be able to live comfortably and slowly start to pay off student debt. in fact she was wrong, it was extremely difficult for her to get a job and when she did so it wasn't a good paying one. Later on in the film, many others were introduced with similar stories with statics and surveys. For example, 40% of graduates regret going to a four year university believing it wasn't necessary.
I don't believe university's are worth the student debt, i believe something more than a highschool diploma is needed to get a well paying job such as two years of community college.

College is not the right path for all students and many American lives are being ruined by college debt. Colleges ask for far more money for tuition than they actually need to and make a profit off of.
There is a lot of truth to this, but a lot of it depends on how you choose your college path. For example, the woman in the beginning chose to master in a very odd college class that I don't see helping her get any serious job. This is why I believe peopel who aspire to become doctors, firefighters, lawyers, etc make the right choice in choosing college. Politics and the media have convinced society that you must go to college to become successful. Fortunately, I feel as if people are starting to realize that college is not the right path for everyone.

Covid is still a thing, Covid is a disease that has affected and killed hundreds of thousands of people. It doesn't matter that it was only "old" people or that the surge is over with. The vaccine is effective, and I believe it's other peoples fault for going out and spreading Covid when they're aware of having it. Just because you've caught Covid after getting vaccinated doesn't mean it doesn't work, but it has lessened the factor that so many people had died at the beginning of the pandemic.

People live in America better than ever and Americans rank themselves ahead of every other country. America has more advanced medical care, the biggest economy, and more entertainment. America’s way of serving food has become more dominant and American business is everywhere. Does this make America number one? Some Americans say they are not. Some Americans don’t like how America does not give their citizens healthcare or an opportunity to get out of poverty. There's also racism, vandalism, and alcoholism. Money is the only thing that benefits people. Most people live brutal lives like poverty. In India, there is a lot of garbage and families living in poverty. They have to ask people for food. Hong Kong has a bigger population than India but they are richer. This is because of Economic freedom. People say freedom and democracy are a key thing to why some countries are stable. California’s Silicon Valley has invented new ways to communicate and they have gotten people to create new jobs. It is the land of opportunity. In America, you are able to shape your own life. Democracy, rule of the law, and economic freedom are what makes America number one.
I have mixed feelings about America. I am glad that there is a democracy in America. I like it that there is more freedom in America. I still recognize that there are flaws in America. Poverty still exists. Racism has not gone away and there are bills that politicians are trying to pass that can harm our democracy. I believe that America is not number one. I prefer not believing that because I feel like this is bragging. This is my opinion. Sometimes I am not a fan of competition. I still believe that there is still a democracy in America.

I get that certain people want to have freedom to eat whatever they want since we live in America. The thing is some foods and drinks can be dangerous and they should be inspected before selling the products to the government. If there isn't any inspection, then there would most likely be lawsuits against stores or restaurants that sell customers foods or drinks that are harmful to people's health. There should also be labels of what a food or drink contains so a customer knows about the ingredients.
